The Warning and Illumination of Conscience

Ralph’s extensive newsletter delves into the concept of the “Warning” or “Illumination of Conscience” found in Catholic history and Marian apparitions. This phenomenon, according to religious prophecies, foretells a future global event where God will reveal everyone’s spiritual standing, leading to profound repentance. Ralph references various influential figures and occurrences such as St. Faustina, the Garabandal apparitions, and the Medjugorje apparitions to elucidate this concept. 

 The newsletter opens with references to historical accounts from the likes of Edmond Campion, Blessed Anna Taigi, and St. Faustina who documented prophecies about this illumination. St. Faustina’s diary has detailed descriptions about a heavenly sign before the final day.

Garabandal

 Ralph then dives into the controversial Garabandal apparitions, where Mary reportedly gave clear prophecies about the Warning. He discusses the event’s specifics as described by Mary to one of the visionaries, Jacinta. (This is not Jacinta of Fatima but one of Garabandal children in the early 1960s). The Warning, as per Mary’s message, is a brief but intense experience that will stir profound repentance and love for God in people’s hearts.

Medjugorje

Ralph also delves into the Medjugorje apparitions, a phenomenon he is more familiar with, that has been extensively scrutinized by Church officials, theologians, and psychologists. He talks about his experience interacting with Sister Emmanuel, who interprets the messages received during these apparitions. These apparitions also include prophecies about the Warning and a permanent sign that will appear in the future.

The newsletter recounts a special day in Medjugorje, when the world may have experienced a precursor to the Warning. On this day, during the celebration of the Nativity of the Blessed Mother, the village of Medjugorje witnessed a profound spiritual event that involved confession, repentance, and an overwhelming sense of peace and divine love.

In Closing

Ralph, however, cautions against excessive curiosity or fear about the timing of these events, emphasizing the importance of daily commitment to God and the salvation of souls. He highlights the importance of immediate repentance, and living a life that glorifies God and benefits others, irrespective of when (or even if) the Illumination of Conscience happens.

He ends with a biblical account from Luke, using the story of Lazarus and the rich man to underscore the importance of listening to the divine word and responding with repentance and faith, rather than relying on special graces or miracles.
